Sophie is a senior health and clinical psychologist and AHPRA Board-approved supervisor with a special interest in persistent pain and supporting individuals to navigate the emotional, behavioural, and physical impacts of ongoing health challenges.
She works collaboratively within multidisciplinary pain management settings to support individuals living with chronic pain and complex health conditions to move toward a meaningful and fulfilling life alongside ongoing challenges.
Sophie has experience across private practice, hospital, and multidisciplinary settings, and values providing compassionate, person-centred care tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances and goals. She places strong importance on creating a therapeutic space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported.
Her approach integrates evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), mindfulness-based approaches, and pain reprocessing therapy (PRT). Sophie has undertaken additional training in pain reprocessing therapy and has a strong interest in nervous system-informed and contemporary pain science approaches.
Alongside her clinical work, Sophie facilitates group programs and provides supervision and mentorship to provisional and early-career psychologists.
In her spare time, Sophie enjoys, running, yoga, baking sourdough, and spending time with her friends, family, and labradoodle, Murray.
