Chih-Ying (Donna) Lin

Psychologist

BSci, GDip Psych Adv, MPsych (Clinical)

Telehealth only (located in Sydney). Available in English, Mandarin, and Taiwanese.

Chih-Ying (Donna) Lin is a registered psychologist with a special interest in supporting individuals experiencing chronic pain and related psychological difficulties. Her clinical focus has been shaped through her experience working within multidisciplinary pain management teams across a range of settings, including hospitals and private practice, in both inpatient and outpatient services. She has also contributed to the development and facilitation of inpatient chronic pain group programs within private hospital settings.

Alongside chronic pain, Donna has experience supporting clients presenting with a range of psychological concerns, including trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, grief and loss, adjustment difficulties, substance use-related concerns, and neurodivergent presentations.

Donna takes a holistic and person-centred approach to therapy, recognising that each individual’s experiences, strengths, and circumstances are unique. She draws on evidence-based therapies including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and mindfulness-based interventions to support clients in building practical skills, strengthening resilience, and improving overall wellbeing.

Central to Donna’s practice is the belief that a strong therapeutic relationship forms the foundation for meaningful change. She brings a warm and collaborative style to her work, striving to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel heard, understood, and respected as they work towards their goals.

Donna holds a Master of Clinical Psychology from Bond University, a Graduate Diploma of Psychology Advanced from Monash University, and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney. She is currently working towards endorsement in clinical psychology.

Outside of work, Donna enjoys cooking, baking, exploring good food, and spending time with friends and family.
