Yes, to see our specialist pain physicians and access Medicare rebates, you’ll need a GP referral. We can also provide direct-pay allied health services.

How quickly can I be seen?

Most patients are seen within 1–2 months. If your situation changes or becomes urgent, please let us know so we can advise on next steps.

What should I bring to my first appointment?

Bring your referral, your medication list, any relevant scans or test results, your Medicare card, and any specialist letters.

Is treatment covered by insurance?

Many services are covered by Medicare (with referral) and private health insurance. We’ll verify your coverage before your appointment.

Do I need to see the doctor to access the other services at Managing Pain?
